The minister was responding to a query on sanctions on Chinese companies in the wake of the current clashes between Chinese and Indian forces in the Galvan Valley that left about 92 Chinese companies at the moment registered in India, in which about 40 Indian troopers had been martyred.
The Minister replied that ample laws pertaining to the commerce of companies had been in drive and that any firm ought to abide by these laws. Speaking on overseas direct funding, he mentioned the Reserve Bank of India controls FDI, aside from sure sectors similar to protection, aerospace and atomic power. He mentioned the RBI would permit it solely with the permission of the federal government.
