Forward of Meeting polls in Assam, Congress and Badruddin Ajmal-led All India United Democratic Entrance (AIUDF) have joined hands to provide an alternate to the ruling BJP within the state. Congress and the AIUDF, alongside with 4 other political parties, declared the formation of a ‘Grand Alliance’ on Tuesday.
In a joint press convention held in Guwahati, the leaders of Congress, AIUDF, CPI, CPI (M), CPI (ML) and Anchalik Gana Morcha mentioned all six political parties have determined to form a ‘Grand Alliance’ for the better curiosity of the folks of the state and to “save Assam”.
The leaders of the alliance have appealed to other opposition parties to come ahead and join ranks to current a united entrance towards the ruling BJP. Doorways are open for all like-minded parties, they added.
