At least six individuals died in an explosion at a firecracker factory close to Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu on Thursday. More than ten sheds the place chemical compounds had been saved had been razed to the bottom within the mishap, the second such incident this month in a cracker manufacturing unit on this area, the nation’s fireworks hub.
Confirming the news, Joint Director of Health Services, Virudhnagar, stated that six individuals have been reported useless.
Earlier this month, about 15 employees had been killed and over 30 injured when an explosion ripped by a fireworks factory close to Sattur within the southern district in Tamil Nadu. The explosion occurred when some chemical compounds had been being combined to supply fireworks on the unit in Acchankulam village.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ok Palaniswami, Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and DMK President M Ok Stalin had been amongst those that condoled the deaths.
