A person in Karnataka has been booked for allegedly kidnapping a 19-year-old woman after befriending her, hiding his spiritual id, police stated on Thursday.

The woman’s father had lodged a missing report on January 5 after she didn’t return dwelling from faculty, Station Home Officer, Chiluatal police station, Neeraj Kumar Rai stated.

“Throughout an investigation and with the assistance of name information of the woman’s cell phone, it was discovered that she used to often speak to the person whose identify in the Truecaller app was talked about as Mehboob and the placement as Karnataka,” information company PTI quoted Rai as saying.

A case was lodged in opposition to the person on January 11, following which a three-member police crew was despatched to Karnataka to hint the person and the kidnapped woman, Rai added.

On the idea of those inputs, the woman’s father lodged an FIR in opposition to the person and accused him of allegedly kidnapping his daughter and hiding his Muslim id, he stated.
