The Budget session of Parliament will begin from January 29, with (*29*) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman set to present the (*29*) Budget on February 1. The session can be held in two components — from January 29 to February 15 and March 8 to April 8.
The fifth session of the seventeenth Lok Sabha can have 35 sittings — 11 within the first half and 24 within the second half.
President Ram Nath Kovind will tackle each Homes of Parliament — the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha — at 11 am on January 29. Sitharaman will present the (*29*) Budget at 11 am on February 1.

Parliament will adjourn on February 15 to allow varied Standing Committees to think about the Calls for for Grants of Ministries/Departments and put together their reviews, and reconvene on March 8.
